Sweetfern Media - Radio Programming

SweetFERN was founded by a veteran disc jockey and radio program host.   Wally Keniston has produced programs that have been broadcast throughout Northern New England.

  • Former Morning Drive-time host of "Clock-Radio Flambé" and
member of the Radio Theatre at WKNH - Keene State College, N.H. 91.3 F.M.
  • Former afternoon Drive-time newscaster for a local AM radio station in the Lakes Region of N.H.
  • Former Thursday afternoon drive-time host of "Oscillating Discontinuity" at WUNH - University of N.H. Durham, 91.3 F.M.

So what was "Oscillating Discontinuity?" Well, it was an eclectic mix of material presented every Thursday afternoon and early evening that defies description. I attempted to provide the listening audience with music that is connected to information about the day. The musical compositions were drawn from a wide variety of genre. These tunes were combined with significa (as opposed to "trivia") related to the history of music, sports, literature, science and technology for that particular day.

I usually included an interview each Thursday afternoon during the 4:00 hour.   Guests included folks from local not-for-profit groups, members of the seacoast community, political figures, artists, educators and musical talent.
